Government House It is with much pride that we announce our 2014 Estate Sauvignon Blanc has been selected for service at Government House Sydney for events held over the next year. Director & Chief Winemaker, Anthony Murphy, was delighted to receive a letter (as above) from the Governor of NSW, the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), extending his congratulations on the wine being selected for service. It was at the launch of the NSW Food & Wine Festival 2015, held earlier this year, where His Excellency announced his dedication to showcasing New South Wales produce at Government House. An intense review of wines across the state was conducted shortly afterwards and the selection process was similar to any other wine tasting; ‘blind-to-label’ and wine was evaluated by look, nose, palate and food match potential. In the letter received The Governor states he was ‘extremely impressed with the quality and value of the produce tasted’. The wines will be on show to many Australian & International visitors during this time, where it will be served at Vice Regal events. These events often include courtesy calls from Heads of State, Royalty, Ambassadors and Foreign Ministers as well as incoming and outgoing members of the Consular Corps. This is an incredible achievement for Team Trentham; we could say our 2014 Estate Sauvignon Blanc is fit for a Royalty!
