We are delighted to announce our recent results from the latest 2018 James Halliday Australian Wine Companion.  Trentham Estate achieved a terrific 4.5 star rating and the following is an extract from the book:

Remarkably consistent tasting notes across all wine styles from all vintages attest to the expertise of ex-Mildara winemaker Tony Murphy, a well-known and highly regarded producer.  Estate vineyards are on the Murray Darling.  With an eye to the future, but also to broadening the range of the wines on offer, Trentham Estate is selectively buying grapes from other regions with a track record for the chosen varieties.  The value for money is unfailingly excellent.  Exports to the UK, China and other major markets.

2013 Family Reserve Pinot Noir  RATING: 95 Points ‘Has developed very well since first tasted in Aug 14’.  The hue is still bright and clear, the red fruits still in control, although spicy/savoury/foresty notes are absolutely part of the mix.  May be getting close to its peak, but the original drink-to year 23’ stands, as do the original points. 2014 Family Reserve Heathcote Shiraz  RATING: 92 Points 2015 Estate Shiraz  RATING: 90 Points Related Tag: Mildura Wineries
