We’re absolutely thrilled to announce this superb Reserve wine, made from high quality Coonawarra fruit, has received a Gold medal at the 2025 International Wine Challenge.

In addition, we achieved Silver for our 2023 Heathcote Shiraz and 2024 Adelaide Hills Chardonnay.

After collecting Gold at last year’s Melbourne International Wine Competition and the Perth Royal Wine Awards, we were over the moon to see our 2021 Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon awarded 95 points by the renowned 2025 IWC judging panel following two rigorous rounds of tastings.

Their notes on the wine would be music to any red lover's ears:

"Black plum, cherry, lots of structured tannins. Concentrated cassis, blackberry flavours. This is bold, ripe and structured with great depth to the finish."

This Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is part of our carefully selected Reserve range that aims to epitomise the best the featured regions have to offer. Cabernet Sauvignon vines are perfectly suited to the Coonawarra region, where a magical combination of the terra rossa soil and cool maritime climate produce very high quality grapes. The ripening period is cool and the grapes ripen slowly, retaining flavour and natural acid. The resulting wine is testament to the fruit quality - world class Cabernet Sauvignon with finesse and great ageing potential.

We’ve been entering our wines in the highly influential IWC for close to twenty years and are thrilled to win Gold for the second time (previously for our 2015 Reserve Heathcote Shiraz).

Not to be forgotten, our 2023 Heathcote Shiraz and 2024 Adelaide Hills Chardonnay each received Silver medals. Awarded 94 and 93 points respectively, the judges were just as complimentary…

2023 Reserve Heathcote Shiraz

Eucalyptus, inky black fruit and a long, juicy ripe mouth-watering finish.”

2024 Reserve Adelaide Hills Chardonnay

“Lifted acid, flinty, struck match, concentrated on the palate, some tropical fruit, oak integrated, beautifully balanced.”

In further fantastic news, we bottled a decent amount of each of these wines so there should be plenty to go around! All three are in stock for Wine Club members, at our Cellar Door, in the best wine shops and on some of the top venue wine lists in Australia.

And at $28 per bottle, we’re proud to be keeping to our reputation of producing wines of amazing value, as highlighted by our shortlisting for Best Value Winery of the Year at the 2025 Halliday Wine Companion Awards.

We hope you enjoy these wines along with us in the months and years to come!
