Trentham Estate is proud to announce the release of its newest range of wines; River Retreat. The range is based on an initiative dedicated to raising awareness of the wetlands of the Murray Darling region. The new River Retreat label will proudly continue Trentham’s long-standing partnership with the La Trobe University Foundation - closely affiliated the Murray Darling Foundation - whereby every purchase of a River Retreat wine will result in a donation towards the foundation. This new label is certainly unique to the marketplace and will allow consumers to consciously choose a product with the knowledge their purchase will ultimately contribute to supporting the environment. “We are thrilled to release this fantastic new collection of wines, especially due to the strong connection of the River Retreat brand and our region’s environment,” says winemaker Anthony Murphy. “We are confident it will bring fresh awareness to the La Trobe University Foundation’s initiatives and that consumers will be drawn to the distinct label.” This exciting range of wines includes a sparkling Brut, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and more. The full range of wines will be available for purchase at stockists throughout the Mildura area and at selected retailers nationally. The Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon will be available from Trentham’s Cellar Door and online shop from March 20, priced at $12.00. Trentham Estate will host a private launch celebrating the new range on Friday 20th March, where Managing Director and Chief Winemaker Anthony Murphy will present a cheque for $50,000 to the La Trobe University Foundation representing funds raised over the previous six years.
