We are delighted to announce the redesign of our Estate label has won both a Gold and a Category Trophy at the Drinks International Wine Design Challenge 2018.  The new label has taken out the top award under the category of ‘Repackage Wine Design’.

The Wine Design Challenge rewards companies that distinguish their wines through eye-catching design.  Denomination, the Sydney and London based design consultancy which worked on the rebrand, entered the awards in early December 2017.  Their design was then assessed by the expert panel of judges. Each entry was judged against its execution of the objectives, initial impact, originality, creativity, innovation and relevance to target market.

We set out to update our flagship range’s traditional yet somewhat dated packaging, which was lacking significant shelf standout, and it was decided the solution was to bring the sense of visiting the Cellar Door to life.  The feedback received since releasing the new labels has affirmed it was the right decision.  Inspired by the unique location on the Murray River, the label features an eye-catching abstract illustration that represents the beautiful views from the estate of the gum trees beside the Murray River. The natural environment featured was a distinct move to boost the profile of not just our own Estate-Grown wines, but the entire Murray Darling region as a whole.

The full list of medal winners will be published in the March issue of Drinks International 2018 and posted on the Drinks International website www.drinksint.com.  The Estate Grown range was released in November 2017 with the fresh, new design rolled out across 6 SKUs; Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Shiraz.  This new collection is now available for purchase.
