Trentham Estate has now released its newest Family Reserve wines - a 2013 Tasmania Chardonnay and 2013 Tasmania Pinot Noir. These two stellar wines complete the Family Reserve range, which aims to epitomise the quality this collection's featured regions have to offer. The fruit for these new wines has been sourced from the exceptional vineyards of the Tamar Valley and Pipers Brook regions of north eastern Tasmania. The 2013 Chardonnay is refined and elegant; light straw green in colour with subtle citrus and grapefruit supported by toasted oak nuances. Persistent clean flavours show an ideal balance of fruit weight and cool climate crispness. The 2013 Pinot Noir is light, bright red with cherry, spice and harmonious French oak. Varietal flavours of red fruits and strawberry cream show an ideal balance with softness and poise. "We are thrilled to release these fantastic new wines and they certainly show why Tasmania has a bright winemaking future," says winemaker Anthony Murphy. These two new products along with Trentham Estate's full Family Reserve range are now available from the Cellar Door, priced at $26.00 per bottle, as well as selected stockists nationally.
